About Me
I have a gentle and highly sensitive nature and have a deep personal understanding of the huge benefits that I experienced from counselling, when my mental health was struggling after the birth of my youngest son. Since then I have discovered the unexpected joys and benefits of living an alcohol free life and have spent a lot of time in personal therapy working through my own issues.
Having personal experience of supporting a child who is neurodiverse, I understand the challenges, frustrations and guilt that being a parent (and at times a lone parent) can bring. The enormous responsibility and pressure to get it right can at times feel completely overwhelming. I have also witnessed the struggles of coming to terms with a diagnosis and learning to understand and accept what being neurodiverse means.
Supporting a close family member who has been stuck in grief and suicidal, I have seen first hand how life can seem pointless, empty and very lonely, after loosing someone suddenly and traumatically. Counselling has helped to keep this suicidal family member alive and stay afloat after the debilitating pain of bereavement.

I could go on and list many other personal life experiences that I have had, there are however too many to share here.
I felt that it was important to explain that I have had periods in my life where times have been very difficult, when my mental health was not great and this is when I discovered the power of counselling.
It helps me to relate to how you might be feeling, as I too have felt low, anxious and depressed and counselling helped me to begin a journey of self discovery and move towards self acceptance, self love, and healing. This inspired me to want to help other people to find themselves and move forward from the dark to a lighter place.
