About Counselling

I understand how hard it can be trying to decide which counsellor is right for you and how difficult it can be to find a counsellor who you can trust and confide in, without fear of being judged and most importantly feel comfortable enough to be completely open with.

Why me

I am a highly qualified integrative counsellor and a registered member of BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy). I offer a warm and confidential space to explore what might be troubling you.

.

First Session

The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other, to help you get a sense of how I work and for us to decide if I am the best therapist for what you need.

My Approach

It's natural to experience emotions such as grief, sadness, anxiety and anger as a normal reaction to difficult life events such as bereavement, job loss, relationship issues, however, if negative thoughts and feelings start to feel overwhelming, and you feel unable to function normally at home or work, then may be now is the time to consider a course of counselling, in order to help you cope.

About Me

I have a gentle and highly sensitive nature.  I have a deep personal understanding of the huge benefits of counselling after long periods of struggling with my own mental health.

Getting Help

Seeking counselling help is often the first step towards getting and staying well.  It can be hard to know how to start or where to turn to. It's common to feel unsure, and to wonder whether you should try to handle things on your own.  It's always ok to ask for help – even if you're not sure you are experiencing a specific mental health problem.

You might want to seek counselling help if you're:

  • Worrying more than usual

  • Finding it hard to enjoy your life

  • Having thoughts and feelings that are difficult to cope with, which have an impact on your day-to-day life

  • Looking for more support or treatment.
